I’m excited to announce a 2026 Rabble Rally November 5th and 6th at Folk’s Butterfly Farm in Nescopek, PA.  Thursday evening will be an informal gathering with Friday being a day of round table discussion, demonstrations, and more!

The intention of a Rabble Rally is to connect with other farmers with the goal of sharing ideas and learning ways to improve our operations and grow our businesses.

Meet our host!  David and his family had always enjoyed the outdoors and their son collected Monarch larvae each summer to bring inside for observation, but the real butterfly journey began when their daughter needed a project for her FFA membership.  With encouragement from Rick and Claudia Mikula, she raised butterflies, and the success of the project led to a family business that included raising multiple butterfly species, presentations, exhibits,  and on-site educational tours for school groups. The business has prospered and grown into an agritourism destination featuring sold out school tours, plant sales, weddings and special events, music in the garden evenings and a Christmas craft show. Conservation and education are integral to Folk’s Butterfly Farm and they are passionate about a business model that focuses on bringing together community.
